Part VI - I Don't Wear Brooches! A Series on Ways to Repurpose Vintage Brooches

Yesterday we talked scarves - today we're back to jewelry ideas and we're talking bracelets!

Idea 1) Bright colors are big for spring, so one of the new ways I like to repurpose a brooch is to use it to hold together a whole bunch of very 80s inspired gel bracelets! (jelly bracelets, jelly bands) Talk about fun and bold!

Idea 2) Another trend this spring is tribal inspired items. For this approach I thought about leather cuffs and adding vintage brooches to them. Pick a thin enough cuff that your brooch can easily slip over it and go with more earthy tones or turquoise brooches.

Idea 3) Multiple strands of pearl bracelets. I'm a sucker for pearls and I have simple pearl bracelets in all sorts of colors. The idea is similar to the gel bracelet approach - choose at least three pearl bracelets and attach a pretty brooch to make a statement piece!

So remember the next time you see a brooch - don't forget how many ways you can truly use it!

Stay tuned for the next idea!
