This is the final installment of my blogs comparing hot, trending handbags, purses and clutches with vintage pieces that inspired them for Spring 2012. I hope you've enjoyed the series and that you keep in mind that for the thrifty fashionista, you can get the same look with true vintage style and usually for much less!

ReplyDeletecan you tell me a bit about the vintage bag pictured? do you know who it is made by, date of production or how much it may sell for? Thanks for any tidbits! Love it!
ReplyDelete@sunshyn - the one below is from the 1950s, I don't know the manufacturer, as it isn't one of my items, but an item I found online that was a great example of the style. I can't seem to find the exact one that I pictured above - but I found it's twin on Etsy - http://www.etsy.com/listing/91620926/vintage-50s-carved-lucite-and-rhinestone They're asking $65 - which is a steal if it is in good condition. Most Lucite purses in great shape go for between $75-$150+ Especially with the carving. The one I found hasn't sold yet - so go check it out!
