Over the winter holiday I visited a long-time friend who now resides in Springfield, IL and just so happens to live right across the street from the fairgrounds. While we were out walking around he pointed out that they hold a monthly flea market and I thought - hey, I have a free place to stay, perhaps I should give this a shot. So on Sunday, January 15th I'll be at the Giant Flea Market at the fairgrounds in Springfield, IL.
I'll be hot off the Handmade Happy Hour event (which means no need to unpack the car!) and ready to show a new market what Vintage Baubles & Bits is all about!
Come visit. If all goes well I may make this a monthly activity!

Where to Find Me Next - Kenrick Antique Mall Fall Flea Market
This Saturday, October 1st from 8-3 Vintage Baubles & Bits will be set up in spot 40 at the Fall Flea Market in the parking lot in front of Kenrick Antique Mall 7435 Watson Rd, St Louis, MO 63119-4415. We did this sale in May at the Spring Flea Market and it had a pretty decent turn out - so hopefully the weather will be nice and the people will be shopping before the cold weather makes flea markets go away for the rest of the year!
In case you weren't aware - I sell a lot of my vintage clothing, shoes and larger pieces like glassware and hat boxes at the flea markets, so there's a lot more to see than just what I have posted on Ebay and Etsy.

Where to Find Me Next - MHS Tailgate Sale
This Saturday I'm helping support the Mehlville High School by participating in their tailgate sale. The MHS Tailgate Sale takes place from 8am - 1pm in the parking lot of the high school. Vintage Baubles & Bits will have a tent there where I'll be showing off some new vintage clothes (including some rocking pantsuits!) and other wonderful vintage jewelry and accessories.
This is my first year exhibiting - but check out some photos from last year's event!

Where to Find Me Next - Wallach House Fall Festival
It's looking like it's going to be a beautiful Fall day on Saturday - so that means you should all come out to Eureka to the Wallach House's Fall Festival - Antique Show and Flea Market!
The flea market will be open from 9-3pm and I'll be there with a tent and promoting my case inside. It should be a fun-packed day! In addition to the flea market and shopping there will also be gourmet food tasting, wine testing and who can resist it - chicken and dumplings!!

Keeping Up with Trends Part 6
Mad Men - need I say more? No other TV show has so epitomized an era as Mad Men has done for the 1950s.
What I love about this trend is all the purses, hats and shoes. Unfortunately a case isn't the best way to showcase these, that's usually what I save to sell at flea markets. However I do have several great purses in my case, ranging from a never been used white beaded clutch, to a shiny, glittery gold purse with matching shoes.
This is also where I have a few men's items, like the killer bicycle built for two cuff links and at flea markets I'll have cocktail sets and a great, never used men's travel set.

Where to Find Me Next
My next flea market appearance will be August 20th and 21st in the barn at the Belleville Flea Market. If you live within 50-60 miles of the area you should definitely come out! If you've never been it truly is the largest and nicest flea market in the area. The barn has really taken off and begun to have a lot of vendors that are selling just as good of items the folks with tables inside. The organizers have sold out the inside and most outside spots, so it should be a good event. Most likely around 150 vendors!
